Only wipe your leather placemats with clean water, a soft cloth, if the approved cleaners are not available (benzine or the white vinegar solution).
Step-by-Step Cleaning Process
1. Daily Maintenance
After every use, wipe the placemats with a dry or slightly damp cloth. This keeps crumbs and light stains from settling into the leather. Clean heavy stains ASAP
2. Light Cleaning
Apply a small amount of benzine or the white vinegar solution to a soft cloth to gently wipe the surface; nothing else.
If these solutions are not suitable or available, only then use clean water on a soft cloth. Always dry immediately with a clean towel.
3. Do Not Do This
To keep your placemats in good shape, do not:
- Soak them in water
- Scrub with a brush (even soft ones)
- Use harsh or unapproved cleaning products
- Leave oily, ketchup, or acidic stains overnight - clean them as soon as possible
- Fold or bend them - this will cause permanent creases
